The Immigrant Advisory Group (IAG)

It is important to have immigrant voices represented on the LLIP Immigrant Advisory Group (IAG). Immigrants are the group that will be most directly impacted by the work of the LLIP and can best speak to the issues that need to be addressed. Immigrants on the IAG includes those with a variety of skillsets and experiences to support and guide the work of the Lloydminster Local Immigration Partnership. An Immigrant Advisory Group (IAG) will be a working group solely made up of newcomers that are representative of the Lloydminster community.

Meet the Team

Lloydminster Local Immigration Partnership (LLIP) recognizes that settlement and integration are processes that are experienced differently by each individual and the length of period in which a person will experience difficulties will vary in duration according to that individual and their circumstances. Additionally, children born to immigrant parents may experience the settlement and integration challenges of their parents. For this reason LLIP defines “immigrants” and “immigration” very broadly to refer to any individual who is engaged in the processes of settlement and/ or integration
