The Lloydminster Local Immigration Partnership (LLIP) is the mechanism through which Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) supports the development of community-based partnerships and planning around the settlement and integration needs of immigrants within Lloydminster. LLIP seeks to engage various stakeholders in a locally-driven strategic planning process across multiple sectors, including but not limited to: settlement, educational institutions, health agencies, centres, and networks, private industry and business, levels of government, professional associations, ethno-cultural organizations, faith-based organizations, and the community and social services sectors.

LLIP’s long-term goal is to build a more inclusive Lloydminster through the development and implementation of a strategic action plan that is based on Research grounded in the Lloydminster context.

The Lloydminster LIP research group is drawn from a variety of backgrounds with expertise in the area of immigration and settlement, health, education, and the labour force. This group supports the development of research projects related to immigration and settlement in Lloydminster, and provide expertise and guidance to all working groups, as well as the Council or Immigrant Advisory Group (IAG). Research and or survey projects will be conducted to satisfy the LLIP contract requirements for conducting research, which in turn will inform and guide the creation of a local action plan for immigrant settlement and integration in Lloydminster.
