Vision
The Lloydminster Local Immigration Partnership (LLIP) partners and work collaboratively towards the creation of an inclusive and welcome community, where all newcomers are connected and able to thrive in all aspects of the economic, social, political and cultural dimensions of civic life.
Mission
LLIP will achieve its vision by:
- Conducting community consultations to identify newcomer needs, gaps and priorities;
- Collaboratively determining strategies to address gaps;
- Engaging traditional and non-traditional partners in the inclusion of newcomers;
- Accessing and conducting research that relates to newcomer settlement and integration;
- Implementing a strategic plan which aligns with the goals of IRCC and the City of Lloydminster Settlement policy to improve newcomer settlement experiences and outcomes;
- Promote welcoming attitudes and increase the full participation of newcomers in the Lloydminster community;
- Improving coordination of services that facilitate immigrant settlement and integration;
- Encouraging dialogue and knowledge sharing between sectors that serve newcomers
